INTRODUCTORY RITES

I will give you shepherds after my own heart, and they shall feed you on knowledge and sound teaching.

Let us pray
[that we may seek with steadfast zeal that unity of the Church for which Jesus prayed]

Pause for silent prayer

Lord, You raised up Saint Kuriakos Elias your priest
to strengthen the unity of the Church.
Grant that through his intercession
we may be enlightened by the Holy Spirit
to read the signs of the times with wisdom
and spread the news of the Gospel by both word and example.
Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION

Lord, we receive the bread of heaven as we honor the memory of Saint Kuriakos Elias.
May the eucharist we now celebrate lead us to eternal joys.
