Meeting of the International Formation Commission in Rome

The International Formation Commission of the Order met in Rome from the 11th to the 13th May 2010.-Among the issues the Commission members addressed were the following: the final preparations for the course for formators that will take place in Camocim (Brazil) from 1st to 15th August 2010 at which almost 70 formators from the all the geographical areas of the Order will participate; further courses in on-going formation planned in Spain (Salamanca/Avila) in 2011 and in the Holy Land 2012; the positive evaluation of the participants in the course for those in initial formation held in the Holy Land in 2009; the new texts to be inserted into the RIVC (Ratio); initial reflections on the Rite of Profession; communications from the Theological Commission; the relationship of the International Commission with the regions of the Order and the structure of regional formation programmes, communi cation and organization. The Commission evaluated its work so far in this six-year programme and outlined its goals up to the next General Chapter in 2013.
