Celebrating At Home - Feast of Christ the King

Christ the King

To support you throughout these days when we cannot gather to celebrate the Eucharist we are offering our Celebrating at Home series each week. Celebrating at Home is a Liturgy of the Word centred around the Gospel reading for each Sunday. It includes a reflection on the Gospel and prayers.

It can be used personally or with your family. Parts for all to pray are given in bold print and all the other parts can be shared among those present.

We hope that Celebrating at Home will be a source of nourishment and strength for all who use it.

Each week we will also provide Lectio Divina - a guided, prayerful way to read and reflect more deeply on the Gospel.

Click the links below to download the prayers and reflections for this coming Sunday. Feel free to share these resources widely.

As Carmelites We live our life of allegiance to Jesus Christ and to serve Him faithfully with a pure heart and a clear conscience through a commitment to seek the face of the living God (the contemplative dimension of life), through prayer, through fraternity, and through service (diakonia). These three fundamental elements of the charism are not distinct and unrelated values, but closely interwoven.

All of these we live under the protection, inspiration and guidance of Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, whom we honor as "our Mother and sister."
