St. Mary Magdalene de’ Pazzi left us with a treasury of mystical texts, all dictated whilst being in her states of rapture. She gave utterance to wonderful maxims of Divine Love, and counsels of perfection for souls, especially in the religious state. These utterances have been preserved to us by the saint's companions who took them down from her lips as she poured them forth. These teachings are gathered in manuscripts which bear these titles:

The Forty Days,
The Colloquies,
Revelations and Intelligences,
The Probation,
The Renewal of the Church.
Letters and Teachings, Spiritual exercises, Sentences, maxims and memories.

In these texts, the saint appears to contemplate the mystery of the Trinity and the divine grandeur, nobility and beauty bestowed by God himself to creatures. The saint proclaims that God through love accorded to us his creatures created in his own image and likeness gifts and sublime graces such as glory and beauty. God bestowed his charity in us enabling us to participate in his very essence. Even though humanity rejected the gift of this dignity through sinful arrogance which leads to destruction, God in his love and mercy restored us by grace through the incarnation, passion, death and resurrection of his beloved Son Jesus Christ. God the Father restores us and glorifies us through the Word made Flesh, adorning us and conquering our hearts through mercy. It is thanks to this mystery of salvation that we can renew ourselves and thus renew the Church and humanity. It is only the Word of God made flesh which is able to give us the gift of renewal.
