Mario Alfarano, O.Carm.
 
Was born in Brindisi (Italy) on August 7, 1971.  He made his profession in the Carmelite Order in 1992 and was ordained a priest in 1998.  He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Theology in Naples and a degree in Spiritual Theology for Formation, from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. From 1999 to 2002, Father Mario was Formator and from 2002 to 2008 Provincial Prior of the Province of Naples.  From 2002 he is member of the International Commission for Formation.  He was appointed Secretary General in 2008.
