Joint Meeting of the O.Carm and OCD General Councils

Before the plenary meeting of our General Council (13-25 September), on 11 September the now customary joint meeting of the O.Carm and OCD General Councils was held in the Istituto “Madonna del Carmine” at Sassone, Italy. A number of topics of common interest were discussed, some experiences were evaluated and shared, and a few projects were planned. Among these a proposed Dictionary of Carmelite Saints”. The meeting was held in a fraternal atmosphere with the evident desire to grow in knowledge of each other and to engage in common projects.
The next meeting will take the form of a seminar in the “Stella Maris” priory on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land from 28 November to 5 December, 2010.
