October 2010, P. Fernando Millan, Prior General presided the liturgy to open a new academic year at St. Albert's International Centre (CISA),  The community was happy to welcome many guests, including members of the General Council and the Curia community.

The Institutum Carmelitanum and the community of St. Albert’s International Centre (CISA) have organised a series of events under the title, "Bellezza del Carmelo... tra pittura, musica e poesia", (The Beauty of Carmel, picture, music and poetry), held at CISA. The purpose of these events is to help people to get to know figures and themes from the Carmelite tradition that are important both for their contribution to culture and their significance for spirituality.

Malang, Indonesia, from the 4th to the 7th of August, the first Congress of Carmelite Colleges of the Asia and Oceania region took place. The title of the congress was "Carmelite Schools Go Green". Its object was to create awareness of the importance of a culture of responsibility in relation to the environment in our colleges and surrounding areas.

The General Chapter of the Carmelite Order was held from 4 to 21 September 2001 at the "Istituto Madonna del Carmine" in Sassone (Rome), Italy. The theme of the Chapter is "Carmel: the continuing journey" – "We have written these things briefly for you, thus providing a formula for your way of life, according to which you are to live" (Carmelite Rule, n.24).
