East Timor Update 08.09.11

The latest East Timor Update features Br Martinho and Br Angelino, two young East Timorese Carmelites studying in Australia. They have now been in Australia for one year. The first nine months were spent studying English and now they are continuing their theological studies in preparation for Ordination.

Escapulario del Carmen OCTUBRE 2011 - Jornada Mundial de la Juventud - Madrid 2011

Durante los días 16 al 21 de agosto, más de un millón y medio de jóvenes, venidos de todos los rincones del mundo, respondieron a la invitación del Sucesor de Pedro, el Papa Benedicto XVI, y llegaron
a Madrid para participar en la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud (JMJ) y tener un encuentro personal con Jesucristo. La JMJ se inició el día 16 con una Eucaristía en la Plaza de Cibeles presidida por el Cardenal de Madrid Antonio Mª Rouco Varela. Los días previos a la llegada del Papa se dieron Catequesis impartidas por los Obispos y diversos actos culturales como exposiciones, conciertos y festivales entre otras actividades.
